> The history room is also the travel room. It is the entry room to the shop and is where we have our desk. It would once have been the servants' breakfast room. In one corner is the foot of the stairs leading up to the arts and philosophy rooms, and a doorway in the other corner leads to the lobby (literature room) which in turn leads into the sciences room. We call this the history room but, in truth, we mix travel in as well so that all our books about France, from histories of the Revolution to guides to Aquitaine, are in the same section. > Below is a list of subjects in this room.
